Since its a slow news day with nothing new to really report on, I thought it would be fun to get some feedback on my new farm design. I should have taken a before picture, but oh well. Erin and I spent several hours on Sunday re-designing our farms as we have been overloaded with items lately. I will see if she wants to post hers later as well. Without further ado, here is my newest creation!

I sold off a LOT of items and decided to go back to a more basic approach, I was tired of the stuffy non farm looking thing my land had become, Erin was writhing in agony as I deleted all my elephants, penguins, reindeer and more animals. 
I even tossed almost all my Christmas, fair and V-day items from storage to the wind!
So what do you think? Is it too minimal for your taste? I plan on replacing the white barn with the new Provencal Barn shortly as well! Feel free to leave an image or link to your farm in the comments if you would like us and others to have a look!

Oh, very nice farm Jake! Looks gorgeous! I’m glad it’s not the usual boring “everything in a line and cramped together” design.

I’m very much proud of the top area (Estate, Eiffel Tower, Green House, Barns and Stable area) but can’t ever figure out what to do with my animals, coop and dairy farms. Comments/suggestions welcomed!
Not bad, I like that it’s clean and the fence looks good around the manor. I am envious of the Birch Tree you have, I missed those! I didn’t even realize they were out till just now.

I have a farm I have really worked hard on and also would like to take a screen picture. I have Windows and don’t know how to do it. It is too big to take a picture w/FV camera. I just finished my second French house, and now am on to other things. I would appreciate any help you can give me. THANKS

Hey now, the cramped farm is the efficient farm ~_^ First thing I said to myself about Jake’s was, oh man, look at all that blank space =P I just had to open up a new shed I’ve got so many novelties.. still have my xmas tree and valentine mailbox even. I couldn’t beat to part with my elephants! Couldn’t find my ID, so hopefully this works..

I love it! Great job…my farm just isn’t farmy enough for me…with the buildings and deco’s it’s getting out of hand. I had redone the whole thing about 2 months ago, so it was just a farm, but then all the good stuff came out. Old faithful, the lake…etc…and I’m a sucker for mystery boxes!!

Well, your farm looks nice, but not real homey. Possibly the water mill may look nice by the water. I do like the geyser, and also have one…in storage. The new barn added so much to my farm, and many have left posts about my farms appearance. We all have different tastes, and each of us design in our own way. Your farm is very uncluttered…and that’s nice.
Yeah I am wanting to use my watermill better, I wish they would give us more water options that make sense… I will see what I can do, I have a few ideas left. I will post another version later, I would like to see what you think then as well.

I like it! Simple is better in my opinion. Plus, I don’t know about you guys, but farms with tons and tons of stuff take forever to load for me….making me not want to visit them. Great new look!

aww thanks hehe =) wish i had ice rinks like that in reality! i live in Malta where we mostly have warm temperatures so ice is only visible to me on TV lol
Thank you so much, we also don’t get much snow here so I had my entire farm, trees the works covered in snow in December. Will change it sometime as I want to use the snowmobiles and skiis on the farm, don’t have the ice rink though, just the slope.
i missed the snowmobiles unfortunately =( would have definitely placed them in that ice area (if i would have found space anyway) ..
now im waiting for the next update which should have been yesterday or today, but still nothing -.-’
Am so disappointed with the provencal farm, is so small in relation to the barn, and now the Pastry shop is so cute but so big!!!!! Proportions are so off!!!

I like your farm very much. I really enjoy farms that are not clutter and mimic reality somewhat. Like you I got tired and got rid of most of my animals and made everything pretty easy to maintain. Just kept the ones I like (love horses and cows, but chose to leave them out because they are soooo disproportionate in size.)
I would like to know how to get a good picture of a 24 x 24 farm. If I use the camera, you can only see a portion of my farm. I have the rich area, the neighborhood section, a town square with a play area, etc. Any advice?
I don’t know what you have, but on a Mac, pressing Command + Shift + 4 will allow you to take a shot of any part you want of the screen.
Love it!!! I think it’s awesome.. My animals are crowded and I’m not fond of that, I definitely will rethink how I’m doing mine. I do try to stick to a clean look also, but I loved the buildings so much I did purchase those and think they look cool with my farm behind them.
