Ahh, the much debated Myths and Facts of FarmVille. I would like it to be noted that all of my information comes from the official FarmVille forums, usually from top Super Moderators or Lexilicious the MAIN Community Manager herself. I do not use information based on what random users “tests” conclude.
Myth #1 – Leaving animals in the giftbox
OMGAWSH Leave the animals/items in your giftbox so more people can adopt!!11!1
This is a VERY large myth on Facebook, so common that it has drawn many into heated debate. I however, have the answer to this one. It has been well established by Lexilicious herself as well as 3 or more Moderators and Super Moderators that this is a baseless rumor. This myth and its user-base is often referred to as “The cult of the box”.

Myth #2 – Clicking OK after receiving a bonus or collection
Don’t click “Ok” after you click on a bonus or collection! This is just a variation of Myth #1, it is also completely untrue and once again Lexilicious has addressed this.

Myth #3 – Zynga will become Pay to Play
I just heard that Zynga has announced that as of March 31, 2010 FarmVille will no longer be available in it’s Beta version. The game will be available for a subscription fee of $5.99 per month and will include additional levels above 70. …… If you care about FV, please put this as your status…… in protest.
This was/is a big rumor, Zynga has officially addressed this and we have a detailed post here that has the information and the link to a press release from Zynga on the matter.
