Chrome
Recently there has been a few Chrome extensions for FarmVille. One particularly useful one is FV Feed Filter. You can find this here: FV Feed Filter
FireFox
If you use Firefox to play FarmVille, you may have an advantage over other players and a way to make things easier on yourself. There are addons for Firefox that can help with any aspect of web browsing. Here are some tips and scripts to use for FarmVille:
Install Greasemonkey, which is an addon for the free open-source web browser Mozilla Firefox. The installation for Greasemonkey can be found here. This addon will use scripts that can be found at www.userscripts.org to improve your gameplay.
Some good scripts to use with Greasemonkey are:
- FarmVille Wall Manager
- Farmville – Time of Harvest
- FarmVille View Simplifier
This script will manage FarmVille wall posts; accepts bonuses, grabs bouquets, adopts animals, hatches eggs, and more. Every time you load a page on facebook with FarmVille posts, it will automatically accept all of those items and gold for you. Once this installed, be sure to manage what it is managing or you may fill up your giftbox very fast! In order to do this, right click on the Greasemonkey icon (
) wherever it is on your browser bars (usually on the bottom), and mouse-over “User Script Commands.” Select FarmVille Wall Manager Options. This will open a page that will let you select what you want it to automatically reset, and if you want it to automatically refresh your FarmVille page.
This script will make a button that says FVCalc when you are on your farm’s webpage on facebook. Click on this and you can select what percentage your crops are at to learn when they will be done and ready to harvest. You can also use this to determine which crop to plant if you know when you will be back to your computer to harvest by leaving the percentage at zero. If you mouse-over the different hours, you will see which crops take that amount of hours to grow.
This script removes everything from the FarmVille page except for the game and FarmVille’s game toolbar above the game. This is good for anyone who doesn’t have an adblock or just wants to play FarmVille without distractions on the page.
Check back at userscripts.org and search farmville to find new scripts or updates for Greasemonkey in the future!
Currently, there has been no backlash for using Firefox scripts related to FarmVille, but this may cause problems with Zynga in the future. In no way is FarmVilleFanatic.com responsible for anything that happens to your account from using these tips or scripts.
